ROAD TECHNICIAN
Hit the road with New Tec! We’re seeking a skilled Road Technician in Sioux Falls, SD, to provide essential on-site maintenance and repairs. This role offers independence and the opportunity to solve complex equipment issues directly at customer locations, ensuring their operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on equipment, machinery, or systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Diagnosis: Troubleshoot and identify issues or malfunctions using diagnostic tools and equipment to determine the root cause of problems.
- Repairs: Execute repairs and replacement of faulty components, such as electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic parts.
- Testing and Calibration: Test and calibrate equipment after repairs or maintenance to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including work orders, service reports, and parts used.
- Customer Interactions: (road technicians) Interact with customers or clients to understand their concerns, explain the scope of work, and provide updates on repair progress.

Qualifications:

- Technical Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of the equipment or systems being serviced, including their mechanics, electronics, and operation.
- Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Electrical Skills: Proficiency in electrical systems, including wiring, circuitry, and troubleshooting.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills for entering service reports, accessing technical manuals, and using diagnostic software.
